Big news!

So big news… our family is on the move again! Our next home will be in Auckland, New Zealand and we will be arriving in the next few weeks.

We found out we were moving a few weeks ago, and as always with every move, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster. The day we told our girls, we took them out for dinner and had an “I’m happy/excited about… but I’m sad about…” conversation (we made it into a game and we each got to take turns :-). We were explaining to them that moving is always bitter sweet. There are always things to be happy or excited about, but also there will be somethings that make us feel a bit sad too.

While I couldn’t publicly announce that our move was happening, I have been fortunate that I have been able to channel all these emotions and the thoughts running through my head into my posts over the last few weeks.

Moving for us is very second nature, we have literally changed countries every two years! And I don’t want to blow my trumpet too loudly, but I do manage it well and our family does settle quickly.

That’s why I am so excited to be offering this FREE “5 Steps to a Successful Transition” webinar where I will share my secrets with you. Going LIVE on Tuesday 10 September, over 30 minutes we will cover the 5 key (very practical) steps you can take to make your transition a good one for you and your family:

  1. Researching your new home
  2. Home is where the heart it
  3. Creating connection when moving
  4. Put on your oxygen mask!
  5. Maintaining home relationships

Whether you’re moving for the first or the fifth time, it can be so utterly overwhelming. Join me for this webinar and find out how you can make the move smoother, easier and a more enjoyable experience for you and your family.

The session is interactive, so please bring your burning questions!

Wow Emily! This is BIG news! I love your approach about embracing it all. Life is full of exciting moments, but it can also be very hard. Learning to cope and move forward through the next door is a wonderful life skill that the children won’t even know they’re honing until one day they look back and are so grateful and thankful for the adventures you’ve guided them on.
My parents visited New Zealand for their 40th Anniversary and have raved about it ever since. I hope to bring our family there one day soon!
